Faced with the reality that in less than four months I will be graduating from college and on my way into the real world, I became anxious about my career choice to be a social worker. As I discussed my apprehensions with my boyfriend, he suggested that I start a blog about finding God in the things that I may come across day by day at my field placement that would remind me why I chose to become a social worker. What my quest really is for is the continued presence of God living in and through me and others in my life. This is a journey of faith in my life. I hope that by blogging day by day the recognitions I have of God in my life, the closer and closer I can come to Him. An issue that concerns me as I write this blog is my professional standard of confidentiality at my field placement. This means that information shared by my clients at my field placement is confidential information. Therefore, I will not be able to share any specific information about my clients. This creates a huge boundary for me to write about God only at my work place, so I am extending my quest for love in everything around me: my home life, my family, nature, school life, work life, my friends, my boyfriend...Absolutely everything, because God essentially is everything. May the quest for love in everyday life begin!!
Neat idea for a blog! That Mark is a smart one :-) I look forward to reading it and learning about God from your insight and journey as well!
ReplyDelete-Love, your Sister
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it!! I'm really learning a lot and I'm only 3 days in. This originally started as something for myself. Then I once I started telling my friends about it, I realized so many other people could gain so much from my personal stories.
I hope there's something for you!
Love,
Your favorite sister ;)
